In loving memory of Thelma Rosalie Costello who sadly passed away on 23rd November 2024 aged 87.
Thelma was born in Pillowell in The Forest of Dean.
Her family moved to Dursley where she grew up.
Her first job was a secretarial role in Lambourn Garages where she met her husband, Tony.
They made their home in Purton where they raised their children, Steve, John and Sandra and lived for the rest of their lives.
She worked as a cook in North View when it was a care home then later at the Jubilee Garden Project.
Mum was probably best known for the cakes she would make for birthdays, weddings, christenings and Christmases.
Sadly missed by family and friends.
No flowers please but donations welcome to Purton Age Concern.
Thanks.

It was always an absolute pleasure to share a chat with Thelma. A smiling face with a sprinkle of friendly banter. Her legendary cooking and baking , made to be shared. Thelma was always thinking of the needs of others .A truly selfless person

Mrs C was good to me. I mean really good, during a dark time. She was a genuinely beautiful person in every way, she was like another nan to me and I'll miss her, as I do Mr C, very much.
