I'm deeply saddened to hear of the passing of John.
I was lucky enough to spent a lot of time with John 'growing Up".
He was my coach as a colt at Chertsey Cricket club .My teacher/instructor at Brooklands technical college,Weybridge.
As I matured I became his team mate and friend.
I have lots of fond memories of him both on the field of play and of course,off it.
He was a true gentleman.
My heartfelt condolences.
