In loving memory of Christopher Faulks who sadly passed away on 5th November 2024. He was the heart of our family, a devoted & gentle father, delightful grandad, cherished brother, uncle & cousin, loving son, and loving steadfast partner to mum. His kindness & love were threads woven into the very fabric of our family legacy. While he has been taken from us too soon, we know we are fortunate to have been part of his world, and even more so, that he remains forever a part of ours. Here’s to Dad – to the extraordinary legacy he leaves behind and to the countless memories that will forever kindle warmth in our hearts.

I first knew Chris from our time at High Pavement School. We then trained as mechanical engineers together with the National Coal Board. Chris was a kind and generous friend and I think it was his help at college that got me through the course. Pat and Janice became good friends too and we both married in the early 1970s, as did several others friends from Trent Polytechnic.
Chris and I became Mining Engineers at different collieries. The four of us shared many good times together, including parties and holidays in younger days. More recently walks in the woods and visits to the Northeast as our friendship continued.
We are thankful for all those precious years and memories.
Chris… Adieu dear friend.

Chris,

You're laugh and smile will still with me for my lifetime, wonderful memories of Christmas times and meals out, you're knowledge was second to none, especially on the red wine scene, a wizard of knowledge.

In the early days of meeting you over 17 years ago it's probably true we wasn't close, now I have a daughter myself though I probably understand more and get it, but as time went along we grew really well and in Covid I would say you was one of my best friends we must of exchanged numerous long what's app messages daily and I really appreciated you're company and friendship in those uncertain times.

Will miss you Chris, already do, promise to look after you're Daughter in the best ability I can, Goodnight and God bless. 🍷 ❤️

Love

Gav xx

Blessed to have had you as a father in law Chris, you truly was the best.
20 years of wonderful memories, the early days of the Christmas meals with Grandad at Durban house (and the DH Lawrence crew) to our fabulous family breaks to Centre Parcs. You have given us some of the best memories ever of Christmas when the boys (James and Ryan) were little that we will cherish and hold close to our hearts. The family gatherings and parties over the years were just the best, thankyou x
Thankyou for being kind, supportive , generous and all round the best dad, grandad and father in law.
You will be missed forever but you will live on in our hearts and memories.
Love Sam, Andy & Ethan XXX
