In loving memory of Michael John Smith who sadly passed away at the GW hospital on the 5th November 2024. He will very much missed by his wife of 64 years Diana, son Kevin, daughter in law Michelle, grandchildren Jenna and Matthew and great granddaughter Layla.
A service at North Wiltshire crematorium will be held on the 4th December at 11am, with a wake to follow at the Sun Inn, Lydiard Millicent.

I am missing my dear mate, family friend of many years, and nearby neighbour Michael with every day that passes as we had so many common interests in engineering, and we were so very similar to each other in so many ways.
My wife Shirley and son Stefan will always remember his help and kindness, and we miss him calling in on us for his daily cup of coffee and a laugh and a chat. Our sympathy goes to wife Diana
and son Kevin and the rest of the family, and bless you all. xx

I first met Michael when we 'crossed paths' in lawn bowls but especially in Masonic Bowls. We both shared one love however in the Great Western Railway, which we rekindled when he joined Vastern Lodge, and I will miss our banter on everything GWR. God bless you.

Michael was a good friend to me supporting me at the Charity where I worked to feed the homeless he also supported me whilst we were members of 355. Sometimes involved in controversial issues not of his making. He did me proud at all times.
