Vincent, always there, quiet in the background supporting all, especially my children when they were studying alone in England. We will all miss you.

We are grateful for all Vincent did for our Scandinavian community in Hampshire and we are so sad at the loss of a kind friend who will be missed by so many.
Our hearts go out to Sue and the family.

Vincent, not only a great badminton player but a true gentleman. Quiet, unassuming and with a wicked sense of humour. I enjoyed your company immensely.

Vincent, you were a cherished brother-in-law and uncle. We will miss you very much. Your specialised Swedish humour, your generous time you gave, your barbecues, your candles, your Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon music, your cheese boards, red wine, dark chocolate and log fires… and so much more. But above all, we will simply miss you.

We were so shocked and saddened to hear the news and will certainly miss Vincent at HASS events.

Our heartfelt condolences. Vincent was such a warm and calm person -had great diplomatic leadership as the longstsnding President of HASS. A picture that comes to mind is one year at Midsummer - found Ellen 3 years old dancing folk dance with Vincent and Sue.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Vincent. He was a true gentleman, and a good friend . My husband Eric very much enjoyed chats with him over the years. He will be greatly missed.

It has been our privilege to become friends with one of life's precious gems, a person with immense sensitivity, warmth and understanding. I had the privilege to take Vincent to watch Pompey at Fratton Park, to enjoy the football and flavour of Portsea's unique use of the English language and we all enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Briny, in addition to so many other beautiful parties and events. Our cycle ride's home, very late at night, after encounters on the badminton court and the supping of several pints of Penny Black, are etched on my mind. Good job the roads were wide and not very busy. Our thoughts are so very much with Sue and all the family at this present time.
