I want to start by thanking everyone who joined the celebration of my Aunt’s life.
We have all been blessed to have had her in our life’s, she gifted us with so many laughs and wonderful insights, she has certainly made me a better person.
Up until 21 Judy was “just” my Aunt then when I left to travel she sent me off with a letter explaining her past and that if I ever need her she was there not matter what. That day I stopped being her niece, the child that whinged a lot and was a fussy eater ( Judy’s own words never one to mince them) and became her friend and that has never changed.
She will be truly missed by myself and my family and I am grateful that I saw her in July happy as Larry. To end with a quote from Jude “laugh I thought my knickers for never dry” my personal favourite ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Judy, you were truly inspirational. We shared a love of Marilyn Munroe and I will think of you whenever I watch her films.

For Judy, whose voice would gently soar,
A melody that touched the heart and more,
With every note, with every song,
She filled our lives where we belonged.
She loved the people, their smiles, their cheer,
Her warmth a light that drew us near.
In laughter and song, she'd always stay,
A bright, kind spirit along the way.
In Sandgate’s library, she gave her heart,
Choosing books for the group to start,
Each title a treasure, a new world to find,
A gift of stories, thoughtful and kind.
And oh, how she loved to play Scrabble with glee,
Each letter a puzzle, each word a key.
She’d weave through the tiles with wisdom and grace,
A wordsmith at heart, with a smile on her face.
But above all, there was one love so true,
A friendship with Pooh that forever grew.
With Winnie the Pooh and all his friends,
Her joy in their stories would never end.
She cherished the moments in the Hundred Acre Wood,
Where kindness and friendship always stood.
Like Pooh, she would share honey sweet and pure,
And with Christopher Robin, adventures would endure.
Now Judy sings where the stars softly glow,
With Pooh and his pals, where dreams do flow.
Her voice a breeze in the trees up high,
A lullaby beneath the starry sky.
Though we miss her, her love lives on,
In every book, in every song.
Judy’s spirit is woven through,
In every word, in Pooh's embrace too.
For her love of life, of books, and of play,
Lives in our hearts, and will never fade away.
Her song still echoes, soft and bright,
In the love of Scrabble, in Pooh's gentle light

  • Beautiful poem, Gaye Thank you and for the beautiful one about Ken Your poem sums up my auntie Judy perfectly. I had the opportunity to be alone with her for a few minutes and a few Minutes in the crematorium I held her hand and sung quietly to her The more it’s snows tiddly Pom, the more My More my toes, tiddly Pom, The more my toes tiddly Pom are growing. Followed by a little bit of Gracelands Paul Simon and then a bit of walking in Memphis, ,ending Judy has left the building thank you and good night!
