Michael was the eldest of five, he was born in Coleshill in 1947. Michael worked for most of his life as a welder working at power stations around the midlands before working at a boat yard producing narrow boats before he retired. Following retirement, Michael spent a lot of time with his wife Jean and his beloved grandchildren.
