On 7th November 2024, peacefully at home, Birstall, Batley, aged 87 years, Ernie, much loved husband of the late Barbara, dearly loved dad of Debbie and Mandy, a beloved grandad and great grandad, a very dear and loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and great uncle.
Funeral service will take place at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium on Wednesday 27th November 2024 at 12:30pm. Relatives and friends please accept this intimation and meet at the crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu may be made online or placed in the collection box provided for the benefit of The Kirkwood.

Ernest was my Mum, Diane Harrison's very dear friend and gardener for many years. He has also been a great comfort to my Mum since she has been ill herself over the last 18 months. He visted her often and even took her on some days out. We were always amazed at his ability to do Mums Garden, such strength even at his age. He was a lovely, kind, caring man and will be very sadly missed. My Mum did manage to speak to him whilst he has been in hospital and she is really upset to hear this sad news. Please pass on our condolences to all the family. He will be missed.
