In loving memory, of Lieutenant Colonel (Dr) Olukayode Adedayo Babarinde.

A loving husband, sacrificial father, amazing son, caring brother and a loyal friend to all.

A gallant soldier who served his country (Nigeria) to the core and a soldier of Christ who served the Lord till his last breath.

You will always be insufficiently loved and remembered for the footprints and impacts of love you left in the hearts of everyone who came across you.

We love you, but God loves you more❤️

It came to me as a rude shock to learn of your demise. Our last discussion was your strong desire to finish your unfinished project; bearly 2weeks from the news of your passing.

I know you would have fought so hard to stay. You have always love to stay and be part of us.

My knowledge of you that you were fully un Christ gives me joy. Your testimonial of a well-lived life will always remain in my heart.

I take solace in 1Thess 4:16-17 and pray that you enjoy eternal rest.

Bye Kay.

You were loved, more than I think you ever realized, and in this difficult period, we choose to celebrate the incredible man you were.

I have wrestled with the mystery of God’s plan, questioning His ways. Yet, even through our mourning, I am reminded that He is still God – present in both our joy and sorrow, standing with us even now, as we honor you.

Today, I offer you one final salute. You will forever be missed. I will always remember you as a man of honour, someone who valued integrity over riches, a soldier who served not just his country, but his loved ones, with pride and dedication. Reading the tributes from friends who knew you from your school days has brought a measure of comfort, reminding us all of the impact you made. You chose a path of service, a life rooted in faith, and from a young age, you devoted yourself to God.

Thank you for every memory, for the moments you shared with us, and for the legacy of strength, love, and faith that you leave behind.

May the Lord comfort those you held closest: your parents, siblings, wife, children, and the rest of us who feel the weight of this loss – family, friends, and comrades. We will forever carry your memory with us, honoring your life and the love you gave.

Rest well gallant officer, until we meet again.
