Janet Lane wrote

Dear Janet was a wonderful friend . We met in September 1947 at the City of London School. We shared so many exciting times at school and our friendship was very special. Janet was kind and a very thoughtful person. She was the devoted wife of dear Brian and loving and proud mother of. Andrew , John and Alison. She always made me feel so welcomed and I will cherish her friendship for ever.
