Always enjoyed being in Thelma's company, as she was so sunny and cheerful. Have many treasured embroidered and cross stitch items bought from her shop.

Funeral Director
In loving memory of Thelma Frances Dickens who sadly passed away on 26th October 2024 aged 85 years.
A much loved Mum to Paul and Mark, Nanny to Lucy, James, Daisy, Grace and Tom and friend of many.
Thelma was a lovely lady who suffered from ill health from an early age but never let that stop her making the most of life.
She had a love of nature and all living things especially owls and Irises. She also loved to collect teddy bears and scarves and was rarely seen in later years without a scarf on
She was very creative and had an outstanding talent for painting and needlework. She always shared her skills, knowledge and passion with others.
Even when her own failing sight and unwilling hands prevented her from taking part she put aside her own frustration and continued to teach and advise others. She faced all life's challenges head on, including 3 different cancers, without a grumble.
In short, Thelma was a fun loving, adventurous, giving and talented lady who will be sadly missed by many.
Whilst she may be gone her beautiful art work and our memories live on.
