Neil my friend. I am devastated to hear that you are no longer with us. You my friend have made a difference and you have been taken from this world far too soon. We never got to have that last drink - I raise my glass to you Neil.
Love Blayne

Dear Neil - I feel like we were only just getting to know you, but thanks to the wonderful words shared by Helen, your family and friends today, we’ve got to know so much more about what a wonderful man you were and that yours really was a life well-lived. I only wish you could have had more of it. Love Cath and David xx

I first met Callo 30 years ago in Alice Springs and spent the next couple of months travelling Australia with him. This was one of the best times of my life. Callo was on a life's good guy's and taken far too soon. Love to Helen and all his family

Thoughts and love with you today, Helen and all of Neil's family and friends. I didn't know Neil except for a couple of warm hellos at the beach, but through reading these tributes and witnessing Helen's obvious and deep love for Neil, he sounded like a remarkable man indeed xxx

Neil was just a cracking bloke and he’ll be missed so much. I’ll always remember and treasure our time as two of the token Englishmen in the Northfield Shamrocks, but thankfully our friendship continued long after we’d hung up our football boots.

Rest in peace Neil x

The tributes here demonstrate what I had guessed from only knowing Neil for a short while. A warm, friendly and thoroughly decent human being. I'm sure he left an impression on everyone who had the privilege to meet him.

I will always treasure my times with Neil, a wonderful colleague and friend. "Stop all the clocks..", wrote W H Auden. Neil enjoyed life and brought sunshine to other people's lives. A beautiful optimistic dedicated and eternally helpful person to everyone he met. I will miss him so much
