In loving memory of Christopher Edward Caul, who sadly passed away on 23rd October 2024 age 81.
This page is in loving memory of my Dad. Christopher Edward Caul. Born in Dublin, Ireland, in 1943. He first came to England when he was just 14 years old. Christy lived and worked in many parts of the U.K and also spent time in the army. Christy eventually settled in Nottingham, where he met my mother Margaret. They married in 1978 and had 1 son in 1979. Dad was a hard working man, working all hours as an Engineers machinist. He had a keen interest in politics and was a Labour party supporter. He was a Union rep for Gmb Union. He was a taxi driver, a double glazing salesman, a night security guard, He studied electronics as a mature student, until his early retirement due to ill health. Christy settled into retirement by going fishing and travelling and reading. He must have read thousands of books. Christy enjoyed a pint at the r.a.o.b club and The Top Valley social club, playing cards, domino's, darts, pool and snooker. He loved having an afternoon pint with his friends. Full of funny stories, with a sharp wit, he could strike up a conversation with almost anybody and make them feel at ease and get them laughing. Towards the end of his life, my Dad was very ill for a number of years, but he was a very independent and strong willed man. I'm very proud and grateful for having him.
We have added a link to Cancer research, as it was Christy’s chosen charity.
Many Thanks
