In loving memory of Ben Kelsall – fiancé, brother, uncle, cat dad, racer, latte aficionado, and all-around brilliant human.
Ben sadly passed away on Sunday 20 October, having given Cystic Fibrosis hell for 46 years. Ben lit up the lives of all who knew and loved him with his humour, sarcasm, and unwavering compassion. He will be desperately missed by his family and friends.
We request that donations in Ben’s memory be made to Ward 26 of Birmingham Heartlands Hospital (the Adult CF Centre). Ben often described the amazing team that cared for him over many years here as his second family, and it feels particularly fitting to give something back to those who gave so much to Ben. The ward is currently fundraising for “Operation Renovation”, upgrading patient rooms so that they are as comfortable as possible for people who often spend weeks at a time away from their homes and loved ones.
Ben was a firm believer that actions speak louder than words, so we hope that you will join us in celebrating him and everything he achieved over a lifetime in which he refused to be defined by his illness.
