In loving memory of Mary Rose Catchlove who sadly passed away on 8th October 2024.

Mary was a much loved mum, nanny, auntie, friend and neighbour.

Mary loved music, dancing, walking, being at the seaside and spending time with family and friends.

We'd love to see any photos or memories anyone would like to add to this page.

Mountbatten Hampshire Hospice gave great care to both Mary and Alan and we'd be very grateful for any contributions to this wonderful cause in mum's memory.

Katherine and Neil x

I thought so very highly of both Mary and her beloved Alan. Such kind friendly welcoming people. Always had smiles on their faces, took time to chat to people and ask about their lives and families. Such energy: both at our Lindy Hop events, and I understand being active with walking groups going up Helvellyn in the Lakes etc.... enjoying life to the full. Mary spoke with such affection about her family. I will remember them both as a happy, loving, family-focussed couple. My thoughts are with Mary's family x

My presiding memory of Mary is watching her and Alan share a dance at Nils and Katherine's wedding. The way they moved together, with such grace and happiness, showed the deep love they had for each other, and reminded me of life's beautiful moments.

Thinking of you both at this difficult time and hope the years to come are kinder xx

We are sad not to be able to attend your funeral Mary, we will be working on our dance weekend which you have attended with Alan in previous years. We will be thinking of you, especially on Monday and always remember the kind, supportive and joyous person that you were in our dance community.

Mary & Alan were an important part of our Lindy Hop dance community. They came to our very first class in 2010 and never stopped dancing from that day. They loved dancing to live music and had a wonderful connection together on the dance floor.

Mary and Alan were a wonderful couple, and great friends to Alan and I. I first met Mary in 2011 when I joined the Tuesday night Chandler's Ford Lindy classes. Sometimes we happened to meet them at Hillier's Gardens, and will always think of them when we sit on a bench near Jermyn's House.Sending much love to the family. I will always remember Mary and would like to thank you for a wonderful friendship.
