David Hawkins passed away peacefully in St Nicholas Hospice, Bury St Edmunds after losing his battle with cancer, on 11th October, 2024 aged 80. Best friend and soulmate to wife Sandie; beloved Dad to Paula, Nikki & Debbie, proud Grandad to Tom, Hannah, Ruby & Holly and Great Grandad to Rocco. David's farewell will take place at West Suffolk Crematorium, St Edmunds Chapel on 12th November, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Please wear a 'Rock Group T. Shirt' or something orange. Wonderful memories of fun and laughter with Dave go back to 1956. From his family home in Temple Road, Scouting days, and social times with Sandie through decades are good memories of a lovely kind witty friend. Our thoughts are with you and your family Sandie. RIP Dave

David was a great family man. He was a clever and friendly person, and had a great sense of humour. He took up photography after he retired. The quality of his photographs and his creativity was very impressive. I admired him a lot. He'll be missed by so many people.
