In loving memory of Auntie Dorfy - I have such wonderful memories of visiting you at Field End but even more so from you and Uncle Brian would come and visit Nan and Grandad, the parties that were held and the fun we had. You have always been so kind, so thoughtful and loving and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for playing such a special part in our lives.

I know you are now reunited with your loved ones, so rest peacefully, Auntie Dorfy. Good night, and may you find peace in eternal rest.
Lauren. Xxx

This might be one of the hardest things I will ever have to write. After all, how do I capture my memories, love and sadness in a few hundred words and do justice to you and the memories I have of you?
Quite simply though, I love you and I am going to miss you, but I also have such beautiful memories of you, Grandad and Field End. You were an amazing grandma and always took the time to be with us, whether it was cooking, baking or taking us for a walk to Temple Newsam.
I will share stories of you and Grandad with Cal when he is old enough to understand, and share them with such pride.

Dear Grandma,

It is so hard to say goodbye and I wish we could have been with you in those final moments. I would have reminded you how much you mean to all of us, and the love we have for you.

I will always remember the love and support you showed. You always listened to and cared for us, and I will always be amazed how you could remember the smallest of details about someone's life.

You made such a positive and loving impact on everyone around you!

Until our paths cross and I can give you another big kiss and cuddle.
Lots of love Grandma,
Love Naomi

Dear Grandma,

Saying goodbye feels almost impossible, but I want you to know how deeply you've touched my life. Even though oceans separated us, your thoughtful, caring, and loving nature was a constant presence that I could always rely on. Your kind words and unwavering support meant the world to me, and I always felt your love, even from afar.

Thank you for all the beautiful memories and for always being there for me. You’ve forever left a mark on my heart, and I’ll carry your love and wisdom with me always. Rest peacefully, Grandma. Your spirit will forever live on in our hearts.

With all my love,
Your granddaughter Nadia

Hi Dot,

Thanks for welcoming me into your family, you were always very kind and generous.
You were always a bundle of energy, if you ever found the time to sit and relax you were still knitting or sewing.
I remember you walking up the high street from Strathmore Drive picking up groceries from a myriad of different shops to make sure you managed the finances well.
You were always a great cook, I’d never come across a family that always had a choice of two puddings with every evening meal, of which I usually managed a bit of both.
Your fish stew was the best and your snowball pudding was legendary.
Thankfully you are now at peace and hopefully with your loved ones.
I’ll miss you and who knows maybe one day our paths will cross again.
Lots of love from your favourite son in law
