In loving memory of Kathleen Mannerings who sadly passed away in the early hours on the 8th October 2024

Mum was born in Stockbury in 1940 on the 22nd November.
Living with her brother John and a little sister Joy who sadly died of leukaemia. Her mum was Myrtle and dad Maurice Lacey.
Their home was destroyed by a Doodle Bug flying bomb that hit the barn.
Mum went to school in Stockbury first and then Rainham secondary school. Then she went to the technical school in Maidstone to pass exams for catering and working in hotels. During this time romance began blossoming between Charles Mannerings and Kathleen. Mum went to work in the Star & Eagle hotel in Goudhurst and later moved on to Bowaters in Gillingham (now Tesco), where she won Miss Bowaters twice because let's face it, she was beautiful.
Then in 1963 mum married dad.
In 1966 her first child, Stephen was born. Then her second David was born in 1970.
After caring for her family for many years and having a period of illness, she worked for Tesco in Rainham. Mum organised many outings to Bournemouth etc., and firework and new years parties.
Mum enjoyed many, many holidays before and after retirement with family and friends.
She was a loving grandmother to Aston and Lacey and this year in June became a very proud Great Grandmother.

Sadly, mum was becoming ill during this period and was told she had cancer in her stomach. The end of August mum was told it was terminal.... then after a short battle with this horrible disease, mum passed away with her husband and son and partner holding her hands and by her side.

We love you mum and dad misses you most, as we all do.
Missed and loved by family and friends. You can never be replaced and leave a massive hole in our family. ❤💔🖤💕
