Robert Thomas (23 Apr 1978 - 5 Oct 2024)

In loving memory of Robert Thomas who sadly passed away on 5th October 2024.

Rob had many hobbies including golf, fishing, cycling, running, football, cricket with his most recent interest in playing padel with the Derby lads at Pride Park.

Rob spent the last 2 years leading 2 charity projects at Experian. In 2023 he ran a children’s book project collecting 1000s of books for underprivileged children. More recently he coached some work colleagues to cycle 90 miles to Skegness for prostate cancer where they raised over £4000. He was such a kind man and he always wanted to help people.

Rob and Rachael also have a beautiful 4 year old cockapoo Ruby he absolutely adored and looked after whilst he worked from home. He enjoyed many dog walks down Trent Lock and down the river at Shardlow where he would always stop to chat to any local fisherman or see if he could spot any fish.

Rob enjoyed many holidays abroad with his wife Rachael including trips to Mexico, Jamaica, Rhodes and Italy. He also loved his trips to Mumbles in South Wales where they took Ruby.

Rob was an amazing cook and he spent the last few summers making homemade pizzas and chicken tikka in his pizza oven in the garden. This year he set up his new bbq and enjoyed hosting dinners for friends and family. Everyone loved his speciality dessert, sticky toffee pudding.

We will all miss him so much 💔
