Robin came into our life when we met on a river cruise in Russia in the late 1990"s. We immediately became firm friends mainly due to our passion for sport. Subsequently Robin, Jenny, my late wife Pauline and myself shared numerous holidays and visits together which I will never forget.
Robin was larger than life, generous and cheerful to the end. I will remember him fondly.

How do you sum up in a few sentences what a lovely man my Uncle Robin was. He really was the character in the room, filling it with warmth and laughter. We were lucky to share so many happy memories with him and the family over many years. Sadly the last few years were plagued with ill health but never did my uncle once complain, just got on with enjoying his bowls, allotment and spending time with family and friends. We should all learn one thing from my uncle Robin and that is to take every minute of our precious lives and live it to the fullest. Thank you for being such a fabulous Uncle to me and all my family.
My thoughts are with Auntie Jenny, Abigail, Annabel, Christopher and all the grandchildren at this very sad time. X

This is really sad news. Your Dad was a lovely, lovely man. So full of kindness and fun and light. He was like a second dad to me for a number of years and I loved him too! Robin had such an enormous number of friends and connections that you will struggle to fit everyone into any kind of memorial service - and that is a testament to the man he was. Popular and personable and positive. And he leaves a significant mark on so many lives moving forward, including mine. So in that way, he’ll never really be gone at all. I hope you’re keeping your head up and surviving as best as possible. I am thinking of you all and sending love to the whole family Xxx

For my dear uncle Robin, a devoted son, brother, husband, father, uncle, a great family man, and loyal friend. I shall miss your positive energy, contagious laugh and radiant smile. I will remember you fondly from Chelsworth Cresent to Imperial Court. Your stories will be cherished and remembered always. You were a true gentleman who loved life and lived it fully, Your sporting achievements made us very proud from marathons to lawn bowls. It was always a joy to watch you and your friends play at the club on Chalkwell beach, I shall honestly miss that :) You were stoic and brave through your challenges, and for that you are a true inspiration. The world is a duller place without you. Sending so much love to Auntie Jenny, Abigail, Annabelle and Christopher xxx from your petal.
