In memory of my very dear friend Pearl, whom I have known for fifty years. You were always so kind, cheerful, understanding, loyal, and special. Bob and I were happy and proud to have you as godmother to our youngest son, Christopher. Over the years we shared so many memories and laughs together. You are going to be greatly missed and remembered by us all. Your suffering is over now, rest in peace. All our love Beverley, Bob, Darren, Anthony and Christopher xx

I have such happy memories of many a Saturday afternoon spent with Aunty Pearl while the rest of the family were at the football. She has been a key figure in my life and will forever be one of 'The Wedding Crew'. She was kind, gentle and generous, and committed to her Christian faith. Rest in peace Aunty Pearl, you will be missed and remembered xx

Pearl. I remember the pleasure of meeting you some years ago, which was a nice surprise. Also, many many years ago you coming to stay at my Parents home for a couple of weeks and at that time you were very interested in horses, and
we found a number of them near North Foreland, where you proceeded to teach me
all about them. It was a pleasant time to spend with you. Rest now.

Thank you, Pearl, for all the willing and cheerful help you gave with the various Sunday School groups over many years. You were always there to help, with a ready smile and practical experience. The children responded easily to your kind and gentle approach - you were a light in their lives and in mine, and to so many others in St Augustine's Church family. We were truly blessed to have known you. May God bless you now. With love and gratitude xxx

Like my sister, Julie, Pearl was my godmother. Although I didn't her as much as my older siblings did, I always knew what a kind and loving woman she was. She never forgot a birthday or Christmas, sending me a card and a thoughtful gift through the post which I always looked forward to and cherished the contents of. For my mum, she was a pen pal, a soul sister, and a friend for life. Rest in Peace, Pearl. You will be missed.

Pearl was quite a unique woman, and one who appeared regularly in my early life. Unique in that she radiated kindness and love, with no expectations or judgement. She seemed very much in touch with God and always wrote kind words of joy and warmth…at least she did in every birthday, Christmas and Easter card I received. I believe she was a rock for my Mum and a guiding light to many around her. Although my memory is vague about my childhood, I seem to recall that Pearl introduced me to Joseph and his Technicolor dream coat. And for that I am most grateful…and I learned all the words. She also inspired me to read much of the bible, which is a good thing even if one chooses not to follow it word for word. So, thank you Pearl for being part of my life. May you enjoy the next chapter with all the warmth you shared in this life. Martin x

Pearl was my mum's best friend and my godmother. She was a special part of my childhood, especially my involvement in the Guiding movement as my Tawny Owl - I remember her allowing me to visit pack holidays before I even joined Brownies. I also remember her taking me to the annual Xmas panto in Canterbury and to the monthly family services at St Augustine's Church. I was lucky to have her in my life. Julie xxx
