We are so sad to lose Bernie - he was such a wonderful positive man - always looking out for us, his neighbours - dropping off veggies, wine, plants and most of all smiles! We like to think of him forever walking the hills he loved so much, with the sun on his face, and a freedom in his heart. So sorry for your loss, Jenny, Ian and Paula xxx

In loving memory of Bernard Raymond Duncan who sadly passed away on 26th September 2024 after a short battle with lung cancer.
Bernie was a wonderful Dad and Grandad who will be deeply missed by his son Nik and partner Georgie, by his daughter Amy and her husband Adrian and by his two grandkids, Millie and Thomas.
He was a man full of love, kindness, gentleness and laughter. He was much loved and will be massively missed. We will love him forever and he will be in our hearts and memories.
He had a love of sports, supporting Dover Athletic FC, Chelsea FC and Kent Cricket Club, attending matches with Nik and Adrian. In previous times he enjoyed wind surfing, waterpolo and squash. Dad's main other hobby was gardening and he was immensley proud of all the products he grew in both his garden and his allotment, and he was always keen to share his fantastic crops with his family.
One of Dad's main passions in life was music. He had a very wide and eceletic taste but for sure his favourite band was Pink Floyd. We'll be using Pink Floyd in the service.
Dad had a love of Corfu. He has asked that his ashes are scattered in the sea near one of the family's favourite beaches.
In terms of dress code for the funeral. We'd like to mix formal and casual. Dad had a great sense of humour and I'm sure would have loved a mixture of formal with a bit of playfulness... Think Disneyor Chelsea FC accessories. Not sure he'd appreciate other football teams being represented though!
