In loving memory of Chris Britton who sadly passed away on 1st September 2024 aged 70 years old.
Chris was born on January 12th 1954 in Kennard Street Bristol. He was an only child.

After School Chris served a five year apprenticeship with Mason Scott Thissell Engineering during which he was awarded apprentice of the year.
Chris worked hard to gain his various higher-level qualifications in mechanical engineering design and draughtsmanship, He was an early user of computer software such as CAD/CAM

Chris had various jobs over 40 years until he joined Bristol Water in 2000 where he worked until being made redundant in 2016 as a project engineer. He then freelanced for a while until his retirement.
Chris was married four times and had five children, Matthew and Faye from his first marriage, and Tom, Adam and Robert from his second.

He was a proud grandad to his eight grandchildren, Jack, Emma, Ashley, Evie, George, Florence, Jenson and Liberty-Rose all of whom he thought so much of and took so much joy from.

In 2004 Chris met Angela who would become his partner for the rest of his life. He got on well with her grown-up children Christopher and Amy and they built strong relationships with Chris treating them as his own,

Chris had many interests over the years, he learnt to swim in his 30's and took up diving, he swam regularly, and loved fishing, cooking, walking, gardening, woodturning, motorbikes his pets and above all his grandchildren.

Unfortunately, Chris developed a rare dementia that would rob him of his abilities. He moved into Avalon Nursing Care Home in Bridgwater where he was cared for.
Chris fought hard with determination and dignity before succumbing to his illness on 1st September 2024 aged, just 70.

Chris will be remembered by his friends and family members as a caring, fun loving, quiet and unassuming man and will be sadly missed.
