In loving memory of Duncan McDougal who sadly passed away on 9th September 2024.

Duncan was born in Portsmouth, Hampshire to parents Eileen and Ian, and moved to Swindon, Wiltshire, as a child along with his sisters Moira and Susan. Throughout his life he moved around to places including Newcastle, Calne, Chippenham, Trowbridge, Glastonbury, and Ipswich. He was due to move home to Swindon on the day he passed away, and he was so happy and excited to be coming back to his family.

Duncan had three daughters, Kristen, T’Kia, and Saffron.

Duncan had a love for motorbikes, cars, aircraft, and boats. He had a strong interest in space, and loved history. His ideal day out was to a place of historical significance. He was an incredibly kind man, always willing to go above and beyond for anyone who needed help, and always had a smile, a laugh, and a kind word for everyone.

He will be missed more than his family can put into words. The best dad, brother, dad-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, and friend there ever was.

“One to beam up.”

Dawn Francis donated £20 in memory of Duncan

The parties, the midnight road trips and the boozy nights in watching videos round Nigel’s, perhaps one day in another world somewhere we’ll all get to pick up on those fun times we had as teenagers. RIP Duncan.

Bidding farewell to a dear old friend of many a year since childhood, comes with much sadness and heartfelt sympathy for his loved ones.

I remember all the fond memories of our escapades in younger days, that will never be forgotten.

My only regret is not meeting up after drifting apart in later adulthood, but we'll meet again.

Look forward to hearing you play air guitar until then.

Ride high, and keep rocking.
