In loving memory of Penelope Joan Reale who sadly passed away on 24th September 2024.

Our wonderful mother Penny, suffered from Alzheimer’s disease for many years. However, her feistiness and spirit never wavered. To us she will always be our beloved mother who although found it difficult to eventually communicate with us, brought us so much happiness and joy. We will miss her dearly.

We are honouring her memory by asking for donations to the Alzheimer’s Society in the hope that one day a cure will be found for this debilitating disease.

Alzheimer’s is a brain disorder that gradually destroys memory and thinking skills and eventually the ability to perform simple tasks.

For someone as fiercely independent as our mother it has been extremely painful for us to see her completely reliant on the support of others. We are very appreciative of the amazing care that the staff at Reigate Grange gave her. They treated her with such dignity and compassion.

God bless you Mummy x

Gillian Mary Meare donated £100 in memory of Penelope

I am Penny’s cousin. My mother Peggy Barrett was a sister to Harry Toombs, Penny’s father. Harry and his wife Joan were my godparents. Penny’s daughter Donna has kept in touch with me over the last few years, particularly when Penny’s health was declining. My husband Bob and I attended Penny’s funeral and wake yesterday, where we all shared our happy memories of Penny the Party Girl. It was lovely to see so many members of her close family. Penny would have liked to have been there! Donna and her family did her mum proud. It was a sad but joyous day.
Love you Penny. xx
