In loving memory of Anona Janine Morley who sadly passed away on 23rd September 2024, aged 55.

Anona passed away too soon, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication. As a devoted mother and loving wife, she was a source of strength and endless love to her children and a pillar of support to her husband. Anona was also a hardworking Deputy Head Teacher who was respected and loved by her colleagues. Her nurturing spirit, unwavering love, and dedication to her profession touched the hearts of many.

Anona will be remembered for her infectious laughter, compassionate heart, and selfless nature. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A celebration of Anona's life will be held on Thursday 17th October at St. Stephen’s Church, Snienton for the Family and Friends of Anona. Followed by a ceremony at Bramcote Crematorium for Family only.

Family flowers only. Donations can be made to Breast Cancer Now in honour of Anona’s memory.

Rest in peace, dear Anona. You will forever be cherished and deeply missed.

With love and remembrance,
Family and Friends

Friends for 30 years! - You were always there for me during the highs and during the lows. It is hard to imagine a world without your light and love to share. We had some mad, crazy times and I will always remember the fun and joy that Trudy, Suzanne and myself shared with you in our special friendship group. It will never be the same. Anona, missing you so much xx With love to Mick, Katie and Niamh - Thinking of you xx

Dearest Anona,

This feels so very strange to write.
The first time I met you, you had come for your interview at Seely and you were sat in the staff room at break time. I ran in to make a drink and said 'hello' and "I don't normally dress like this". I was dressed as a pirate and you smiled and took it in your stride. I remember thinking that you seemed really nice. And I later learnt that you were the queen of dressing up...Gangsta Granny!
And then you became our deputy. And we were so, so lucky.
You were there for everybody... children, staff and parents. You went above and beyond every single day.
I'll miss popping to the photocopier and saying hello and having a quick chat.
You were an incredible woman and I'll never get my head around how you knew (and remembered!) so much... If ever I had a question you could answer it or you knew where I could go for the answer. You were the epitome of lifelong learning and I loved being able to talk to someone else who was still learning, still researching. I really was and still am in awe of you.
On a personal note we traded some lovely stories and smiles about life, children's health and how they're coping, teenagers studying in COVID (hanging upside down when they should be studying "I'm a teenager" and being in awe of the fact that mine could multitask... game and study at the same time, some skill!) and other bits and pieces of the day to day.
You've left an incredibly imprint!

Anona, dedicated, passionate, enthusiastic, warm, engaging and nurturing. Just some of the words I could use to describe her. Such a wonderful woman who gave so much to her community and all those she supported. Thank you Anona for all of your kindness and knowledge. You will be greatly missed and I am thinking of your family. Xxx
