David Povey (16 Nov 1959 - 25 Sep 2024)

We were truly sorry to hear of David’s passing and we know how much he’ll be missed by the family and all of us who knew him.

Unsure of what I could possibly write to lessen the blow of David's passing. In particular for his family but also for those that were fortunate enough to have known him. I had known David for the greater part of thirty years from becoming dear friends with his son Mark, after we had met during early high school. David's humour and sharp, witty mind was evident and on display in those earlier days which I remember fondly. This sudden and devastating passing leaves me with a sense of disbelief. I offer the deepest of my condolences to the family he now leaves behind. Farewell David. May you sleep well and may you be at peace.

David i was so thankful to known you, you made my mum so happy and I'm so grateful you made her smile you made her feel special you were always like a second dad to me you always knew how to make me smile you are going to be missed by alot of people I love you so much and I will forever be grateful for finding my mum's body 😭😭

David, I'm so thankful for how welcome you made me feel in your family. I lost my dad a number of years ago and I felt that you were that father figure to me and I knew I could ask for your help with anything and you would support Kayleigh and I. You've raised a wonderful woman in Kayleigh and I will look after her for you.

I've always thought everyone knows a Dave, and I'm privileged to have known you. x

Dad I can't even begin to imagine my life without you in it. I am heartbroken a piece of me left when you passed away.
You were an amazing dad and grandad who is going to missed so much.your memory will live on forever.
