Reunited once more with husband Cyril.

We will really miss Lil. We often had fun chats with her across the road. She enjoyed having a laugh. We liked looking across at her flowers that she took such care of. She was a lovely lady.

In memory of Lil, were so very lucky to have known Lil since 1968 when my grandparents lived where we do now, Lil was my dinner lady, a very thoughtful neighbour and such a kind friend. We shall miss you very much in Broadview Avenue, one of the best. Rest in peace, all our love Martin, Anita, Rachel, Adele, Lee, Anthony and of course Mason,Zara and Lois who will all miss popping over to see the cuckoo clock xxx

Lovely lady. I always remember her as our’dinnerlady’ at school, where she worked with my mum. Also a happy face and she will be sadly missed.

Lil - what an example you were! So friendly and caring. Refusing help shopping because you wanted the walk! Gardening into your 90s and swopping seeds and plants. RIP and thank you for being you.

Dearest Lyril , You will always be fondly remembered for the childhood stories you shared and the lovely memories of lifetime experiences had. Along with memories of you walking up and down Orchard street and admiring your stamina . 🥰💖

Lyril as I called her was such a lovely person. I'll always remember her laugh, she never stopped! Always left a visit to her on a high. One very determined and strong lady. Will miss her a lot. X

So sad to hear that Lil(as I knew her) had passed away. What a lovely ,kind, gentle and happy lady.
I lived with my parents in Broadview Avenue and have know Lil for over 50 years. She was a truly great friend of my Mum,who is no longer with us.

Lillian or Aunty Lyril as I affectionately called her was an amazing lady and one I wished I’d been able to spend more time.
Her humour, generosity, wit and kindness were true qualities and I feel privileged to have known her.

Dear Lil, thank you so much for all the lovely kind things you did for us over the years, we were so lucky to call you our neighbour and friend. Babysitting our boys, never forgetting any of our birthdays, looking after our house when we were on holiday (to name just a few). We miss you so much. All our love. No. 58.
