It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to Alan, a kind and warm soul whom I have had the privilege of knowing since I was 5 years old. Alan always put others first and worked tirelessly for the family, never shirking his responsibilities. His love for his canal boat was a reflection of the peace and joy he found in life, and he was a constant source of care and support for those around him. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of generosity will live on in all of us.
