Known Ian for over 30 years and this is heart wrenching news. Will always have fond memories, from nights at Dukes and penny-stake poker games, to 10 pin bowling and house share antics. Rest in peace, Ian.

I worked with Ian at Intec Telecom Systems in the noughties. He was a really nice guy, very good at his job and great fun to work with. It's so sad that he has passed long before he should have.

Met Ian in 1985 when we were both studying Physics at Loughborough University. Great memories playing late night darts and having a few beers. Condolences to Carole-Anne & family.

  • One of my favourite 2 wedding photos. Although that bit of confetti on my fringe, it bugs me every time I see it, I wish someone had told me it was there!!!!

Met Clarky when he joined GEC and went on to play many seasons of 6 & 11 aside football and squash with him. He was such a talented, supportive and reliable player but I will remember him mostly as a great friend. It was a real privilege to be his best man and a tragedy he has been taken so soon. Sending all our love to Carole-Anne, Megan and Will xxxx

It was a pleasure to have met and played cricket with Ian, he was incredibly supportive in my first year of captaincy at Bexley. His support of young players was always exemplary if I could choose anyone to stand at mid off to a young bowler it would be Clarky. I will dearly miss playing with him, watching him play and chatting with him at the club after a game. The world has lost a truly fantastic person
