I worked with Steve for over thirty years and have always had the greatest respect for his commitment and professionalism. He’s left far too soon. My thoughts are with Wendy, his family and friends.

It seems like yesterday when we were school mates and in the football teams at St Josephs and St Michaels in Bermondsey.

Greeny and steve always thinking we were cheating! Steve was my first manager at Venners, and was always the boss.We knew where we stood with him. Great man, and I will miss his 'wise' words. RIP boss x
