Jean Ruth Flaxton (13 Sep 1945 - 12 Sep 2024)

In loving memory of Jean Ruth Flaxton who sadly passed away on 12th September 2024.
Mum was, like most mums, 1 in a million. She was a very centered person with family at the centre of all that she did with very few real friends outside of this. Having lived in the same house for many years she was a well known figure to both neighbours and nearby businesses. Unfortunately some of the neighbours passed away or moved on but always around was family. Mum had a determined outlook on life and would very rarely let things get her down. Even when diagnosed with cancer in March of this year she was determined to fight it with all her might and spend as much time as possible with her family. She found solace in her children and grandchildren and pride in what they had achieved and become. Sadly in the months following her diagnosis she then went on to break her shoulder and hip, the later of which despite her constant strength and determination proved a step too far and she sadly could no longer find the strength to continue to fight it. We can draw comfort in the fact she was surrounded in as many of her family as possible at the time of her death but also would not have wanted those absent to miss out on the opportunities that kept them away.
We will always love and miss you Mum but you will also always live on in our memories and hearts.
