Gary Anthony Cope (31 May 1946 - 7 Sep 2024)

On 7th September, peacefully at Oakworth Manor Care Home, Gary aged 78 years of Cullingworth. Beloved husband of Karran, much loved dad of Anthony, Joanne, Paul, Rosalie and Mark, loving Grandad, Great Grandad and a dear friend to many.
In his professional life, Gary worked as an engineer for British Telecom where he was known for his technical skill and dedication. Later he became a Postman where his reliability, friendly demeanour, and hard work made him a beloved figure in the community.
A passionate supporter of Halifax Town Football Club, Gary rarely missed a match and proudly followed the team throughout his life.
Gary’s kindness, sense of humour and loyalty will be deeply missed by all that knew him. His legacy will live on through his family and the many lives he touched throughout his life.
A Funeral service will be held on Friday 4th October 1pm at St John’s Church , Cullingworth, where family and friends are invited to celebrate his remarkable life .
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Alzheimer’s Society in Gary’s memory.
