On 9th September, aged 36 years, a beloved son, a cherished brother, uncle and friend, but most importantly, a loving dad, took his life after a long battle with mental health. Taken too soon from our grip, his pain and suffering got to him before we could. Although he has left an emptiness in our lives, he will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Family and friends please meet on Wednesday October 2nd for service in Sunderland Crematorium at 1:00pm. In memory of Darren, please wear a splash of red. The cortege will leave from The Colliery Inn, Hetton-le-Hole around 12:20pm. Flowers welcome, or donations in lieu kindly received for Andy’s Man Club. A donation box will be available in the crematorium. Please join the family afterwards in one of Darren’s favourite places, The Colliery Inn, for refreshments and to continue the celebration of Darren’s life.

You told me to call you more cos I'm your bestie you'd say 😆 you were always there for me and I was for you but clearly I wasn't there for you this time and it breaks my heart 💔 I wish you had just called or sent a message. I love you and I'll try my hardest to be there for you on your day xx

Remember when I first met you as a young boy with your mum Mark & brothers when you came to Kent to travel with us - you were a lovely boy then who grew into a lovely teenager & then an adult &finally a dad RIP Darren gone too soon xx
