Robert. You were taken far too soon brother. There was so much more for you and Paulette to do in your retirement years. Paulette and your two daughters, their partners and your three grandchildren have lost a very special man in their lives. Your family and friends have shared their loss and their memories of you as we gathered together to celebrate your life. Rest in peace Rob, I will miss you very much. love Sandra x

Many thanks to all who came to Dad's service. It was lovely to see so many people there to celebrate his life and to share their memories of him. He was clearly a very loved man and was so lucky to have so many people in his life, who had such wonderful things to say about him. For those who have made donations or sent flowers, thank you so much.

Thanks also goes to Kathryn, who spoke about Dad as if she really knew him - you really captured his character well and we couldn't have asked for anyone better to lead his service.

Additional thanks go to Ray, Luke, Garry, Ray, Stewart and Mark, who carried Dad into the service - your support (over the past two months in particular) has been fantastic and him being carried in by those closest to him in his final days was a fitting tribute to him.

To Dad,
I hope we did you proud. Although it was a day of sadness as we said our final goodbyes, we celebrated you. I know you would have loved being at The Bell with a beer in hand and a plateful of food, dancing away to your favourite tunes and catching up with familiar faces from over the years. As we now try to piece everything together and navigate life without you, I know we will do so with such wonderful memories of you. I miss you more than words can say, Dad.
Love Always,
Claire

I had the honour having Robert's friendship for nearly 40 years, I can truly say that he was a shining star. He was funny, caring and straight down the line, he loved his family and life. When beside his bed with great memories and sadness in my head, I remembered what he added to myself and my family's life.I therefore must say thank you Robert for being a part of my life. I know your biggest regret is leaving your Paulette but we will do our best now
you are at rest to be there for your lovely lady.
You were like my brother and definitely like no other, rest easy my friend 😪
