Donald Milsom (10 Jun 1936 - 6 Aug 2024)

In loving memory of Donald Milsom, known to everyone as Don, who sadly passed away, peacefully, on 6 August 2024 at Southampton General Hospital.

Don was a much loved and devoted husband to Jill, father to Donna, Richard and Ben, grandfather to Matthew, Alex and Tilly and an uncle, friend and neighbour to many.

Don loved playing the organ at Emery Down, attending organ and classical music concerts and the lunchtime recitals at Romsey Abbey. When younger, he enjoyed participating in various sports, particularly hockey at both school and university level. He loved watching cricket, rugby and football, walking, being out in the countryside and spending time with family and friends. Don would want to be remembered as someone who enjoyed life to the full.

It is our wish that Don be remembered through donations to Macmillan Cancer Support who provide information and financial support to people affected by cancer, and also specialist nurses in different areas of cancer care and treatments, working in hospitals, hospices and in the community.

A celebration of Don’s life will be at Highfield Church on Friday 4th October at 2pm.
