In loving memory of Emma 'Dex' Dexter, who sadly passed away on 28th August 2024. If desired, donations to 'Nottinghamshire Hospice', (who made her life so much better), ‘Brainstrust’ or 'Brain Tumour Research' may be made payable on the 'just giving' section of this page,. A donation box will also be available on the day of the funeral service. Those attending who wish to wear colour are welcome to do so.
If anyone wishes to bring flowers, please bring either wild flowers or some cut from your own garden, which will be strewn on Emma’s grave. There will be a vigil in St Mary’s Church on Monday 16th September from 4pm to 7pm. All are welcome, irrespective of faith or none. The funeral will be at St Mary’s Church on Tuesday 17th September. There will be post-funeral refreshments and a celebration of Emma’s life with music, memories and a mini exhibition of some of her work in the church hall after the burial. Everyone is welcome.
Both venues are easily accessible by public transport (rail, tram and bus); a minibus and car share will be provided to the cemetery for those who do not wish to use their own transport.

I wish to apologise for not being able to attend the vigil and the funeral sue to the back injury I have had. Emma was so special, loving and caring friend that I will remember for ever. My heart and thoughts are with you and I wish I could be there to give my salute to her precious life.
