  • Such a kind and generous man and a lovely Uncle. So sweet with my very shy daughter when we visited, she did not come out of her shell for very many people, only the special ones. My love and thoughts are with all his close family especially Lesley, Cat, Sooze, Rosie and Patricia. RIP Uncle Robert xxx

I remember he christened our youngest daughter in 1994, I was only looking at the photos the other day, which he joined us on a few. Our 6 year old was getting a little excited and started skipping and dancing around the church. When I embarrassingly asked her to stop he laughed and said she’s ok, it shows me she is relaxed and at home here, I like that!
A very kind and friendly man.

Sending many condolences to Bob’s family and friends.

We were so sorry to hear your sad news. We so enjoyed the times we shared with you all in Dinnington and I continued to see Bob regularly at the DBE and synod. He did so much in the diocese and will be sadly missed. Love and best wishes to you all. We remembered Bob and you all in our intercessions on Sunday. Geoff and Jennifer Gillard and friends from Dinnington St. Leonard's. XX

I hold tightly onto my memories of Bob at St Peter’s. The ‘fun dad’ of my dear friend Rosie. Many happy days and nights spent at Rock house from hamsters being born in the bathroom, drop scones on the aga and the Sunday lunches; always extra people round the table. Sending love to all and I’m so sorry not to be able to make the funeral. X
