Rest in peace auntie Carol, much loved by many, although due to moving away from Southampton not seen you as much as families do, whenever I was home I was always welcome round for a cup of tea and some biscuits. It’s my childhood I remember most though you and Uncle Dave always going out of your way for me. Love Pete

Mum
I can’t tell you how many times I have gone to pick up the phone to tell you something…
I miss our calls every day and can’t quite believe you have gone
You were a great mum… Sue and I had the most wonderful childhood and we have turned into the grown ups we are thanks to your guidance… oh, Dad did have something to do with it too but you were the one who always kept us in check!!
Your lived for your family and we all loved you for that…. You liked nothing more than us all being together….
Your Red Cross food parcels of stew, shepherd’s pie and macaroni cheese were always welcome and your hairy Mary’s and lemon drizzle cakes were legendary!!
You have been so brave over the last year and I know how much you have suffered, but never did you complain….xxx
I am going to miss you so much Mum, but I know you are now with Dad, your one true love….
Until we are together again….
Love you
Jackie xxxxxxx

On 24th August 2024 at 5.40am you took your last breath with me holding your hand. You are now at peace Nan and reunited with grandad after all these years apart. The last few weeks have been tough, witnessing you in pain but you continued to put on a brave face for us all despite your suffering.

I shall miss our trips out for breakfast or coffee and cake. Me, Jamie and Benjamin will miss your home cooked meal parcels beef stew and dumplings, shepherds pie, macaroni cheese or your selection of homemade cakes.

Benjamin is going to miss his Great Gran Gran so much but I am so pleased you got to spend the last 20 months watching him grow into the little boy he is. I know you adored him and he adores you. He keeps asking for his “Gran Gran”. I’ll forever cherish the memories we made together.

Thank you for being the best Nan to me and David, for all the wonderful childhood memories. You were always there for us when we needed you.

I don’t quite know what life is going to be like without you but I hope I can continue to make you proud each day. I’ll take some comfort knowing you’ll be watching over us, until we meet again.
