Charles Humphrey Oliver, Charlie of Moats Tye, Combs passed away peacefully in St Elizabeth Hospice, Ipswich on Tuesday 13th August 2024, aged 80 years. A loving dad to Catriona, Roly, Joe, Jack and Abbie and grandad to Alice, Sophie, Poppy and Robin. Charlie cherished being at his Moats Tye Livery Yard and was passionate about fundraising for Stowmarket Lions. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Charlieโ€™s funeral service will take place at Battisford Free Church on Monday 9th September at 11 am. Family flowers only please, but donations, if wished, made payable to โ€˜Lions Club of Stowmarket & Districtโ€™ may be sent care of Andrew Bingham Independent Funeral Service, The Nutshell, Milton Road South, Stowmarket, 01449 771666.

Many fond memories of Charlie, just too many to mention but the one I love the most is Charlie singing nursery rhymes to my granddaughter while she was on his lap.
