One of lives true heroes and gentleman, a Second World War veteran who served with the Royal Navy, who lived his life giving to everyone. Grandad was a devout Christian who loved his wife, daughter, grand children, great grand children and yes even great great grandchildren and everyone one was special to grandad who doted on them all. Not even covid could deter him, we would often tell him off for walking around beeston hugging everyone, all he said of the risk was that if he was to die not to worry he would be going to the lord.
He truly knew that. We will miss his endearing spirit, his always positive thought, and most of all we will miss his smile which was so warm and giving. Rest in peace grandad xx

It’s been an absolute honour to know you Roy (aka Grandad). You were one of life’s true gentleman, an inspiration. We’ve loved spending time with you over the years with your family, knowing how much they love you and how special you are to them, it’s been a privilege to be a small part of that. Your memory will live on through them and you will be talked about often and with so much pride. You were an amazing man who will be missed.
Rest in Peace.
All our love from Neil and Hels xxxx
