Hello Elizabeth, Nigel, Nicholas and Alison. It was so good to see you all again notwithstanding the loss of your wonderful father. I think the last time I saw him was before my mum died when we had a lunch out ar Carlton Colville. WE must endeavour to stay in touch. Best Wishes Chris

From brother Reg and family up in Scotland, so sorry to hear the news, and proud of all that Bert did for his community during working life and in retirement. We're sorry we can't be represented in person at the funeral.
Bert was a fellow governor at Canon Pickering Junior School. When I became Chair he was always diligent and committed but not afraid to quietly challenge. He was the best kind of governor who cared about the school as part of his community.
