Aunt Vio, remembered and loved by so many. Your flat was my second home growing up. Always warmly welcomed and never felt so comfortable. Years passed, I got my own flat on the same road and seeing you walking by always took me right back to being 13 years old. Wonderful lady, one of the very best. Thank-you for being a part of my life and all my love to the family xx

- Violet loved children and it would bring her great joy to see them altogether playing and laughing.
In loving memory of Violet Edith McWilliam who sadly passed away on 5th August 2024.
Sister, Cousin, and the greatest Auntie you could ever meet, want or wish for.
In Violet's younger years, she loved to get dressed up, perfect her hair (her pride and joy), and go dancing. You would still see her on the dance floor at every family party, well into her 90s.
Beach outings with the whole family were a big part of Violet’s life throughout the years, with Margate being a firm favourite.
Her home always had an open door, where you were never turned away and always welcomed, usually with multiple offers of tea, cake, biscuits or some sort of goodie from the treat wardrobe.
Many of us experienced the amazing family celebrations in the flats frontroom. Peeled potatoes in the bath for Christmas dinner, Wedding receptions, Birthday parties, the list goes on. (I’m not sure how we all squeezed in there!)
After retirement, Yoga was key to her ongoing fitness, she was still doing her stretches with the walker in the kitchen each morning. Whilst doing Yoga, she also learnt the head, neck and back massages so many of us loved and it also kept her; reigning arm wrestle champion for many years.
Violet lived a life full of love, first her parents & siblings, then four generations branching off from the McWilliams. She was surrounded by family from the start and till the end, who she loved and who dearly loved her. Then, Now and Always xx
Plus Auntie Vio was a LEGEND!
