I was in Quomonde and Stephen was a very good friend. He gave me work and support in my early days of recovery from addiction. He had a good heart.

  • Stephen was a good friend and a member of the rock band Quomond at Earlsheaton High School in the 1970s. He was one of the funniest people I’ve ever met and did a fabulous impression of “DaddyCool” by the pop group Darts if anyone remembers that. We once spent an afternoon at his house telephoning random people and then playing the theme from Test Match Special as loud as possible down the phone. He was talented, generous and loyal. I will remember him with affection.
