Peter Charles Beard (5 Nov 1948 - 27 Jul 2024)

In loving memory of Peter Charles Beard who sadly passed away on 27th July 2024.

A sadly missed Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle and friend.

Peter grew up in Thundersley and always loved the outdoors, his particular interests included plants and farming. His career with Southend Parks spanned 40 years and saw him retire as nursery manager in 2005. Following that he had an enjoyable second career maintaining gardens for clients locally up to a year or so before his passing.

Peter was devoted to his family, married to Linda for more than 50 years and a great Dad to Andrew, Matthew, Tim and David. He is remembered fondly by his siblings, grandchildren, neices and nephews.

Peter made a decision for Christ early in life through the ministry of the Boys Brigade and lived a quiet Christian life that shows clearly in the messages we have received in cards. He was gentle, kind, quick to laugh and interested in the people around him.

He will be very much missed and we give thanks for his life and legacy.

He is now at rest with Christ.

Burial at Woodside Cemetary Tuesday 20th of August at 10:30am. Followed by a service of thanksgiving for Peters life at Thundersley Evangelical Church, 238 Kiln Road, SS7 1RR. All welcome.
