Patricia Rolf (31 Mar 1954 - 3 Aug 2024)

It’s with sadness that we announce the passing of our Mum, Patricia Rolf, a woman of immense strength, warmth, and love. Born in Trinidad & Tobago, Patricia embarked on an incredible journey at 17 when she moved to the UK, where she would build a life full of adventure and unwavering dedication to her family and community.

The most important thing in Patricia’s life was her family. She loved us all deeply, but her crowning glory were her grandchildren, Escher, Mylo, and Teddy. Every moment she spent with them was cherished, and the bond they shared was filled with love and joy. They adored her, and she lived for the times they were together.

Patricia faced Motor Neurons Disease with the same determination that defined her life. Though the diagnosis was daunting, she refused to give in and outlived all expectations, proving that her spirit was unbreakable. Just a few months ago, we celebrated her 70th birthday — a milestone made even more special by a personal message from Sir Cliff Richard. It was a moment of triumph for a woman who has always defied the odds.

Her commitment to the NHS spanned 45 years, during which she became a beloved colleague, a trusted advisor, and a compassionate listener.

Patricia’s laugh was the kind that could light up a room, and her wisdom was a source of comfort to many. As we say goodbye to our Mum, we invite you to join us in celebrating her remarkable life — a life where family was everything, challenges were met with courage, and love was the guiding force.
