In loving memory of Fred Hoad who sadly passed away on 30th July aged 84 years. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Fred was born, and lived his whole life, in Dorking and was heavily involved in amateur sport in the town both at the Old Dorkinians Football Club, where he was a player, then Chairman and latterly President of the Club and at the Dorking Lawn Tennis & Squash Club where he played for over 60 years and also held the positions of club treasurer and bar secretary.
Professionally, Fred was a Chartered Accountant having trained and qualified at Peat Marwick McLintock, but most of his career was spent with Commercial Union where he was a director in their asset management team, specialising in investments in unlisted companies.
The family would like to politely ask for no flowers, but if you would like to make a donation to the blood cancer charity in Fred’s memory, please do so below.
Please join Fred’s family for a celebration of his life at St Martin’s Church, on 28th August – please see funeral service details.
