So many memories of the years spent enjoying time with you, I’ve realised looking back what an impact your kindness and genuine friendship had on my life, I will carry your advice and stories with me for the rest of my life and continue to share them with others, you truly were a rare type of friend and I am so grateful to have had you in my life.
Watching you weld through a spare mask was a favourite, few got to see your skill up close. I could never match it no matter how hard I tried.
You had the best sense of humour and ways of making time at work fun with your sayings, nicknames and positivity.
Now I know why the Jiskoot truck meant so much to you, those trips must have been great, I loved that thing too and remember taking trips with you before the cambelt finally let go and I bought it off the firm as a project to rebuild.
I treasure the things you gave me over the years, including your favourite spanners (they really are incredibly good) and micrometer when you retired, and the tools you helped me make in my apprenticeship that I still use today.
You leave an incredible legacy of family and friends.
I’ll miss you.
