I can say with certainty that Gordon was one of the kindest, gentlest people I have ever met. To know him was undoubtedly to love him - and he is fondly remembered by all, even by people he met only briefly. To Oliver, he was simply "the best granddad in the world". No contest. Now, every day around 2 pm my time, I find myself waiting for the ding of his goodnight email. I have hundreds of those messages that I will cherish - always with the same title "My Favourite Beautiful Girl". I am deeply grateful for his unwavering support and unconditional love through all the ups and downs of life and for all the wonderful memories we made together across four different countries and five decades - and, of course, for all the "catchphrases" he gave us that we can weave into our everyday lives to remember him with a smile. Yes, Gordon, we will keep taking the tablets - in loving and treasured memory of you.
