Carol being filmed for a contribution through her researches for the Parish WW1 Centenary Project. A chance find led to the research and repatriation of a lost WW1 Medal - The Mons Star - to its family. Brilliant stuff.

Farewell, Carol. A good neighbour, tireless volunteer, an upholder of principles and a great introducer to the opera. Enjoy the new music wherever you are, Carol.

A role model for volunteers. Not always agreed with but always passionate and committed to our shop, willing to make things happen. Condolences to all of Carols family and friends.

We will really miss you Carol. You were always such an inspiration - so full of energy and enthusiasm for everything you undertook and so committed to fulfilling all your responsibilities. You have made a real difference in this world. Your humour and intelligent conversation made you and Steve such good company and we often talk about the lovely weekend we spent with you both in Honfleur, France. Thinking of you Steve and all the family. Rest in peace Carol - we will never forget you xx

Thank you Carol for a long and enduring friendship . From a coach stop in Turkey ,to shared holiday in Cornwall ,we had many memorable times together, until old age,ill health and distance made our friendship harder to sustain…..but you and Steve remain always in our thoughts . God bless you on your next journey. My love goes out to Steve. Julie and myself will be with you in spirit , We would have gladly made the journey to be with you for support (but I am currently out of service ,unable to drive, having had a major operation on my foot and being in a plaster cast) I do hope all goes well , and that we see you in the not too distant future…………..Anthony and Julie Conroy xxxxxx
